What I wish I would have known before becoming a doctor- Dr. Aparna Shah

Medical School teaches you medicine but there are many aspects of practicing medicine you dont learn in school. For Dr. Aparna Shah, one thing she wish she would have known is how much of the general public you would be dealing with. #Communication is extremely important for all physicians especially #ophthalmologists and #optometrists. Effective communication helps in building trust between the #patient and #physician. Patients are more likely to feel comfortable, share relevant medical history, and follow treatment plans when they trust their doctor. Good communication skills are also important for interacting with colleagues, staff, and other healthcare professionals. This ensures smooth coordination and collaboration in patient care. We all have our days and #healthcare can be extremly stressful but keep in mind mind communication is an art and can have a major affect on the overall patient experience. Are there other things you wish you would have learned in #medicalschool? Give our friends over at @ophalpreneurs a follow to learn more!
