Her grandfather spent 18 years as a missionary eye surgeon in Africa. Her father built a practice in Alexandria, Minnesota. Dr. Deb Ristvedt is the third generation. Now she brings her own kids to Guatemala and Africa to watch patients who were blind from cataracts see again.
