Did you know that 65% of U.S. #ophthalmologists choose to do a fellowship? 👩⚕️👨⚕️ Fellowships allow surgeons to become more specialized but do not feel like you need to do a fellowship! The amazing part of being in ophthalmology is that you are trained to manage multiple types of conditions and perform a diverse array of procedures. 🌟 Second, if you feel like you want more training in a particular area of interest, go for a fellowship! Now is the time to do it. 📚 It's tough to go back into training once you are working as an attending (not that it's impossible).
