Real Life use of suprachoroidal triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension -Dr. Michael Singer

Dr. Michael Singer, recently shared data at the 2024 Retina World Congress on the Real Life use of suprachoroidal triamcinolone acetonide injectable suspension (Xipere) for the treatment of patients with macular edema associated with #uveitis. About 800 patients were looked at in the analysis and what they found was that about 87% of patients did not require an injected or implanted corticosteroid by week 24 after a single injection of #triamcinolone. A second suprachoroidal injection 12 weeks after the first was only seen in 2.4% of patients and does not appear to be part of routine practice. By comparison, all subjects in the Peachtree trial were required to have a second #suprachoroidal injection at week 12.
