Conviction matters. In his second pearl from more than a decade in interventional glaucoma, Paul Singh, MD, shares why presenting every option is not always the same as helping a patient make the best decision. When the data supports an approach and the physician believes it is the right next step, Dr. Singh believes patients deserve to hear that clearly. “This is what I think is best for you.” It is not about selling a procedure. It is about explaining the rationale, setting expectations and helping patients understand that treatment does not have to be an all-or-nothing decision.
