Indirect affects from droopy eyelid surgery: Dr. Ana Carolina Victoria
@drmiamiface Fun Fact: Having surgery to correct a droopy #eyelid, (ptosis repair), can indirectly affect the appearance of forehead lines and wrinkles. Ptosis repair specifically targets the lifting of the upper eyelid to a normal position to improve #vision and the appearance of the eye. When one or both eyelids droop, individuals often unconsciously raise their eyebrows to lift the sagging eyelids to see better. This habitual eyebrow raising can lead to the development of deep forehead lines and wrinkles over time. After #ptosis repair surgery, because the #eyelid is no longer drooping and vision is no longer obstructed, there is less need to raise the eyebrows to see better. This can lead to a reduction in the activity of the forehead muscles, potentially reducing the appearance of existing forehead lines and #wrinkles over time. However, while ptosis repair can indirectly reduce the need to raise the eyebrows and may slightly diminish forehead wrinkles, it is not a direct treatment for forehead lines.
