Importance of the Ocular Surface

Fast forward a few years in practice, and it’s one of the first things I look at when evaluating surgical patients." If the surface isn’t healthy, nothing else matters! You can have the best technology, the perfect plan, and it still won’t translate to great outcomes. Taking the time to screen, treat, and optimize #dryeye (whether it’s evaporative or inflammatory) makes a huge difference in both your surgical results and your patients’ happiness. Sometimes that even means delaying surgery until the surface is under control.
