Interesting case shared by Dr. Chris Lopez. A patient referred for #cataract surgery with controlled type 2 diabetes underwent an otherwise routine procedure. At the one-month post-op visit, vision in the right eye was reduced compared to the fellow eye, prompting further evaluation. OCT revealed #pseudophakic cystoid macular edema (Irvine-Gass syndrome), a known inflammatory complication that can present weeks after surgery.
