Vision Correction Education Alliance
After more than two years of collaboration, planning, and conversations with leaders across eye care, we're proud to introduce the Vision Correction Education Alliance (VCEA). VCEA was created around a simple belief: this isn't about promoting one vision correction procedure over another. It's about ensuring patients have access to clear, balanced, evidence-based information so they can make the decision that's right for them. Today, patients have more vision correction options than ever before. While that's a tremendous advancement, it can also be overwhelming. By bringing together ophthalmologists, optometrists, patient advocates, and industry partners, VCEA aims to provide trusted educational resources that help patients build a strong foundation before they ever step into the exam room. An informed patient is an empowered patient, and better education leads to better conversations, better partnerships, and more personalized care. This initiative has been more than two years in the making, and we're just getting started. A special thank you to AECOS for believing in this vision from the beginning and becoming the first organization to support the Vision Correction Education Alliance. More announcements, educational resources, and opportunities to get involved are coming soon.
