Hit First -Glaucoma
"My dad always said: in a fight, you hit first and you hit hard." Analisa Arosemena, MD, thinks glaucoma deserves the same approach. The usual playbook is to tiptoe. Add a drop. Add another. Wait and see whether the patient takes them. What that buys you, she says, is a patient who has progressed. Her case for an interventional mindset: catch it early, get the pressure under control, and stop treating glaucoma as something to back away from.
