iDose TR Re-administration approval
The iDose TR now has FDA approval for re-administration. For years, procedural pharmaceuticals like intracameral implants gave us powerful “one-and-done” options. We’ve seen impressive durability, strong one-year data in many patients and sustained multi-year efficacy in a significant percentage, but the lingering question has always been: 👉 What happens when the effect wears off? Until now, we were often back to drops, layering procedures, or escalating to additional surgery. With re-administration approval, we now have the potential to use sustained drug delivery not just as a bridge, but as part of a longer-term strategy especially for patients who: • Have already had SLT or MIGS • Want to reduce drop burden • Struggle with adherence • Need durable IOP control without adding complexity Of course, patient selection matters: healthy cornea, open angles, no active inflammation, but this update expands the conversation. Sustained drug delivery just took another step forward.! Disclosures: Dr. Singh is a consultant for Glaukos
